How and When was RSL Formed?

RSL was formed in 1995 when Sedgwick Re, Inc., one of the world's largest and most experienced reinsurance brokering operations entered into a joint venture with CIGNA Property & Casualty.

Our goal was to offer something new: easy access to world-class reinsurance administrative, accounting, claims and collection support.

Who is your parent company?

For a period of time, we were co-owned by ACE USA, through its acquisition of CIGNA Property & Casualty, and by Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, through its acquisition of Sedgwick Re, Inc. RSL is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC and operates as an independent company. Our employees operate under strict confidentiality regulations and we take every precaution to assure that our clients data is securely protected.





How Big is Your Staff?

Operating from principal offices in Philadelphia, Seattle, Hoboken, New York, Minneapolis, Macon, London and Witham, RSL has a staff of over 220 people augmented by a national network of independent consultants with whom we contract on a project basis.

Do You Handle International Work?

Yes, RSL operates internationally. Through our UK offices as well as our collateral and strategic market alliance, RSL can provide services throughout the world. The ability to handle international accounts is a key strength of RSL.
